(March 5, 2013) Glatfelter Public Practice is excited to announce the new Drive Safe training program.
Living in a mobile society, it is easy to become
distracted while driving. Motor vehicle-related incidents are consistently the
leading cause of work-related fatalities in the United States.
Glatfelter Public Practice has clients that operate a wide variety of
vehicles including those in municipalities, towns, emergency service organizations, educational institutions and water-related authorities across the country. The most common types of vehicle accidents
experienced by Glatfelter customers involve:
- Backing up.
- Turning at an
intersection.
- Leaving the roadway.
The most severe involve head on
collisions, hitting a pedestrian and rear-ending another vehicle. These are the
reasons why it is important to be alert and aware of other drivers, weather and
roadway conditions while operating a vehicle.
Our 11 minute Drive Safe training video addresses what can
be done to drive more safely, how to minimize the likelihood that an accident
will occur, how to stay focused and what signs to look for that may interfere
with your ability to drive.
