Are we a perfect match?

Our policies aren't cookie cutter – so they won't work for every public entity out there. Before sending in an application, save yourself some time and review our appetite.

  • Water and Wastewater Entities

      We encourage submissions for water and wastewater entities, given that:

    • The entity treats, stores or distributes water,
    • The entity treats wastewater, or
    • Water-related operations are generally the primary operation of the entity.
  • Municipalities and Miscellaneous Public Entities
    • Cities, towns, villages and other political subdivisions below the county level with populations below 30,000 are welcome.
      • Some miscellaneous public entities of various compositions and purposes are also eligible.
  • K-12 Public School Districts & 2-year Colleges
    • Rural and suburban public school districts of various sizes and many boards of education are generally a good fit
    • 2-year junior, community and vocational schools without dormitories may also be eligible
  • Private and Charter Schools
    • Preferably in business for three years, but start-up schools may be eligible
    • Select non-Catholic religious schools are acceptable given that religious doctrines and texts are not the primary focus for education
    • Virtual and cyber components are acceptable, but the school should not be 100% virtual
    • Schools must be properly accredited
    • Not-for-profit Charter Management Organizations (CMO's) preferred. For-profit CMO's may be considered
    • Schools with dormitories will not be considered
  • Independent School Bus Contractors

      We welcome all independent school bus contractor submissions who meet the following criteria:

    • In business for 5 years
    • A minimum premium of $50,000 (generally 35 bus units)
    • Wheelchair accessible units should be less than 25% of the total bus fleet count
    • Fleet consists of a majority of school buses. Vans are acceptable, but should not make up the majority of the fleet
    • Operates in rural or suburban communities under 100,000 in population and at least 20 miles outside of a major city (major city is defined as any city with a population over 250,000)
    • No more than 15% non-school bus operations
    • Limited number of drivers over the age of 65 and under 23
    • Maximum of 300 power units
